Dog on the Wall is about capturing the thoughtful expressions and the unique personality of your dog.

So how did Dog on the Wall come about? . . .

In 1997 I graduated from Davidson College with a Fine Art degree. During my time as a student I began experimenting with dogs in my paintings. Many people ask me, "why did you start painting on snack boxes?"

That's a great question with a simple answer.

After a friend left a box of cookies in my studio, I snacked my way into the evening and kept thinking about how much dogs love "people food." Before the night was over I had painted my dog, Gumbo, on the box, anxiously stretching for a Nilla Wafer. Snack boxes soon became a place where I could expose the many faces of an expressive dog. Treats bring out the best in a dog so I find it to be a great fit. For the past 7 years I have been painting on canvas and snack boxes in an effort to capture the most unique expressions of our furry friends.

I currently live in Denver, a dog's paradise.
